Spun Nomex
Nomex staple spun sewing thread manufactured from Dupont Nomex designed to provide seam integrity and long term heat or flame resistance. Available in a variety of colours including uniform shades. Excellent resistance to long term heat exposure, Superior abrasion resistance, Good resistance to most organic solvents.
Age has limited effect on physcial properties.

• Fibre Resistance to Acid- Excellent • Fibre Resistance to Bleach- Good
• Fibre Resistance to Alkali- Good • Fibre Abrasion Resistance- Good
• Fibre Melting Point- N/A (Does Not Melt)
• Fibre Resistance to Heat- 210 deg C (Highest continuous temperature before breakdown)
For increased strength and cut protection, Para-Aramid thread, such as Kevlar® or Anefil® Kevlar® are recommended
